In Savusavu, you will not encounter a secure industrial port; instead, ships anchor in the picturesque bay and transport you via tender boat directly to the Copra Shed Marina. This historic marina serves as the heart of the waterfront, and you can walk straight off the tender into a charming, relaxed setting. There is no need for a mandatory shuttle, as the marina itself houses the Savusavu Yacht Club, a couple of popular cafes with harbour views, and small boutiques selling local handicrafts and pearls.

A gentle 5 to 10-minute stroll to the left along the main coastal road brings you into the centre of Savusavu town. Here, you will find the vibrant Savusavu Farmers Market, where locals sell fresh tropical fruits and kava, alongside essential services like ANZ banks with ATMs and a post office. One of the most unique sights within this short walk is the Nakama Thermal Hot Springs, located just behind the main street, where you can see steam rising from the ground and watch locals using the geothermal heat to cook traditional meals.

• Walkability: Savusavu is a compact and very walkable town, with the main street, shops, and markets located just steps from where the tender boats arrive. The terrain in the immediate town centre is flat and easy to navigate on foot, though some resorts and attractions further along the coast may be located on steeper hillsides.

There is no specific local transit card required; passengers typically pay for their fare in cash (Fijian Dollars) directly to the driver upon boarding.
